Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Yeap Inc. ("YeapTel," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the YeapTel communications platform.
Information we collect
- Account and identity information from your Yeap ID sign-in (name, email).
- Business information you provide (business name, addresses, team member details).
- For a phone number in a country whose carrier requires it: the details and documents that carrier asks for, such as your address, a recent bill, a letter you sign, or your government ID through the Yeap ID identity check. We ask only for what that country's carrier requires for the number you picked.
- Call metadata (numbers, timestamps, duration) and, where you enable it, call recordings and transcripts.
- Messages sent and received through your YeapTel numbers.
- Payment and billing information, processed by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data such as feature interactions, for improving the product.
How we use information
- To provide and operate calling, messaging, and related features.
- To route emergency calls to the correct address.
- To bill for your subscription and usage.
- To comply with telecom regulatory requirements (e.g., messaging registration, number porting).
- To order phone numbers in countries whose carriers must check who uses each number.
- To detect fraud and abuse.
- To send essential account messages and optional emails: relevant setup tips, usage reminders and plan or upgrade offers based on your account status, at most three a week. Optional emails are on for account owners unless you turn them off. You can turn them off at sign-up, in Usage & balance on your dashboard, or with the unsubscribe link in any of them, and we keep that choice. Yeap ID records your email choice and delivery status; essential account emails are separate.
Advertising and signup attribution
We use first-party cookies to remember your first recorded visit and latest non-direct visit for up to 90 days from each visit. These records can include the traffic source, campaign and ad details, Google advertising click identifiers (GCLID, GBRAID or WBRAID), visit time, landing-page path and referring website hostname. Stored landing paths exclude URL queries and fragments; referrers contain only the hostname.
When you sign up or sign in through Yeap ID, we pass this attribution information to Yeap ID, where it can be associated with your identity and originating application. Authorized administrators use these records to understand signup sources, including registrations awaiting verification. Cookie expiry does not delete attribution records already stored with your identity.
To measure advertising performance, we use captured Google click identifiers to report a first YeapTel account signup to Google Ads once that account first pays for a plan, together with the payment time and a conversion-event identifier. If the account does not pay within 90 days, the stored click identifier is deleted without being reported. This conversion payload does not include your name, email address, phone number, messages, SMS opt-in data or messaging consent.
Optional website analytics
If you choose Accept analytics, we load Google Analytics to measure visits to our public homepage, contact page and legal pages. It remains off before you accept. We send only those public page paths and fixed page labels, plus general traffic-source labels and IDs/names of approved advertising campaigns. We classify the original landing source in memory before your choice; it is sent only if you accept. We do not send raw URL queries, click identifiers, fragments, referring URLs, search terms, form contents or account details through this analytics integration. Google also processes browser and device information and cookie identifiers to provide these reports. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled for this integration.
Your choice is stored in this browser. Use the controls below to decline or revoke it at any time. Revoking stops future analytics collection and removes the analytics cookies created by this integration; it does not erase reports Google already received. Analytics cookies expire after 90 days, renewed by later visits while analytics is enabled. Sign-in, authentication callbacks and private account pages are excluded. This optional setting is separate from the signup attribution described above and from SMS consent.
Website analytics: Off for this browser.
Homepage video
Our homepage tour video is served from yeaptel.com itself. Nothing is downloaded until you press play, and no third-party video player is used.
Sharing
We share information with the service providers that make YeapTel work: our telecom carrier for call/SMS delivery, our real-time media infrastructure, our payment processor, and — only where you explicitly connect it — MyLinks. Documents for a phone number go to our telecom carrier, which may pass them to the national carrier or regulator that requires them. Your government ID reaches us only as a short-lived link from Yeap ID, which we pass to the carrier; we do not store a copy. We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy — see the section below for the specific commitment that applies to them.
SMS and Mobile Messaging Privacy
YeapTel does not sell, rent, trade, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS opt-in data and consent are used only to provide messaging services requested by the user, including account notifications, missed-call alerts, voicemail notifications, security alerts, service updates, and customer support communications.
We may share limited information with service providers that assist us in delivering text messages, including telecommunications carriers, messaging platform providers, and vendors necessary to operate the service. These service providers may use the information only to perform services on our behalf and may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
All categories of data sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude mobile messaging opt-in data and consent. Mobile messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Users may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. Users may reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply. For support, contact support@yeaptel.com. See our SMS Notification Program for the full opt-in flow.
Data retention
Call recordings, transcripts, and messages are retained according to the retention settings on your account until you delete them or close your account, subject to any legal hold requirements.
Documents for a phone number are kept by the carrier as long as the law in that country requires. If you do not finish paying, we delete the documents we sent to the carrier within three days.
Your rights
You can access, export, or request deletion of your account data by contacting privacy@yeaptel.com.
