SMS Notification Program
Last updated July 2026
YeapTel is a communications platform operated by Yeap Inc. This page documents our SMS notification program: who it's for, how customers opt in, what messages look like, and how to opt out — for our own customers and for anyone reviewing our messaging compliance.
Who receives these messages
Only YeapTel account holders who have explicitly opted in through their account settings. This is a transactional notification program for our own customers — it is not used for marketing, and it is never sent to a phone number that hasn't opted in.
How a customer opts in
From their YeapTel dashboard, a customer goes to Settings → Messaging Notifications and sees exactly this form:
Messaging Notifications
Get text notifications from YeapTel about missed calls, voicemails, and account activity.
The customer must enter their mobile number and check the consent box before anything is saved — the checkbox is unchecked by default and there is no pre-checked or bundled consent. Unchecking the box and saving revokes consent immediately.
Message content and frequency
Messages are transactional and event-driven — for example: "YeapTel: You missed a call from (555) 123-4567 at 2:30 PM. Reply STOP to opt out." Frequency depends entirely on the customer's own call/voicemail activity; there is no scheduled or promotional messaging in this program.
Opt-out and help
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately — no further messages will be sent.
- Reply HELP for support instructions.
- A customer can also opt out any time from Settings → Messaging Notifications, without needing to text STOP.
- Message and data rates may apply, per the recipient's own mobile carrier plan.
